369 Method
You write a single affirmation statement 3 times each morning, 6 times each afternoon, and 9 times each night — every day for 33 or 45 days.
Mainstream The #369method hashtag accumulated over 165–214 million views on TikTok as of 2021–2022 (mindbodygreen, Bustle); the broader #369manifestation cluster pushes total views into the hundreds of millions. The method was covered by Refinery29 (January 2021), Bustle, MindBodyGreen, Elite Daily, The Everygirl, and Cosmopolitan. Karin Yee's Choosing Gratitude YouTube channel has over two million views on its 369-related content alone. The method first went viral in late 2020 and remains one of the most searched manifestation techniques heading into 2026.
What it is
The 369 Method is a structured daily journaling practice in which you write one specific affirmation — phrased in present tense and first person, as if the goal is already real — three times after waking, six times in the afternoon, and nine times before bed. The method was developed by law-of-attraction practitioner Karin Yee around 2020, who layered a 17-second focused-writing rule drawn from Abraham Hicks' teachings onto the numerological pattern she attributed to Nikola Tesla. The 33-day or 45-day commitment window is treated as the minimum needed for the repetition to shift what practitioners call "subconscious belief." Press coverage and TikTok virality made it one of the most widely practiced written manifestation techniques of the 2020s.
How to do it
- Write a single affirmation statement in present tense and first person — for example, 'I am so grateful that I have [specific desire]' — keeping it to 1–2 sentences.
- Each morning, write that statement 3 times. Take at least 17 seconds per repetition, staying focused on what the words mean rather than rushing through them.
- Each afternoon, write the same statement 6 times using the same slow, attentive pace.
- Each evening before bed, write the statement 9 times with the same deliberate focus.
- Repeat the full 3-6-9 cycle every day for 33 or 45 consecutive days without breaking the streak.
- Keep a dedicated notebook for the practice so the accumulation of entries is visible and reinforcing.
What people use it for
- manifesting a specific person or ex back (SP use case)
- attracting money or financial goals
- career advancement
- health and body goals
- general goal-setting and habit of intention
- building self-belief through repetition
Where it comes from
Developed by Karin Yee, a law-of-attraction practitioner and host of the YouTube channel Choosing Gratitude, around 2020. She combined a numerological pattern loosely attributed to Nikola Tesla (the claim that 3, 6, and 9 are cosmically significant numbers) with the Abraham Hicks principle that 17 seconds of focused thought begins to attract corresponding outcomes. Yee's original TikTok videos went viral in late 2020, sparking widespread adoption and dozens of spin-off variations.
