Whisper Method
Also known as Whisper technique
You close your eyes, picture a specific person in their current location, imagine yourself walking up to them as a ghost and whispering your request into their ear three times, then picture them following through on it.
Widespread The #whispermethod hashtag accumulated over 106 million TikTok views by late 2022 (cited by TODAY and Yahoo News). Sarah Perl (@hothighpriestess), its primary popularizer, has grown to 2.5 million TikTok followers and a self-reported $1M+ business built largely on this technique. A secondary creator, @ValeriaFune, racked up 8.6 million views on a single testimonial video. Multiple YouTube guided-meditation channels have published dedicated Whisper Method videos, with Agnes Vivarelli's original 2017 tutorial alone drawing ~256,400 views.
What it is
The Whisper Method is a guided visualization practice where you enter a relaxed, meditative state, vividly imagine a specific person you want to take an action (send a text, offer a job, give an apology), and mentally whisper your request into their ear three times. After delivering the whisper, you visualize them immediately responding as desired, then mentally kiss their forehead and walk away, releasing attachment to the outcome. Practitioners typically pair it with daily self-concept affirmations to strengthen the sense that they "deserve" the desired response before attempting the technique. The method traces to Neville Goddard's mid-20th-century "Inner Conversation" teachings and was brought online by YouTuber Agnes Vivarelli in 2016, then made viral by TikToker Sarah Perl (@hothighpriestess) in April 2022.
How to do it
- Identify what you want and from whom — be specific (e.g., 'I want my manager to approve my raise request').
- Sit or lie down somewhere quiet. Close your eyes, breathe slowly, and let your body relax into a near-meditative state.
- Vividly picture the specific person in their current, realistic setting — their home, office, or wherever they most likely are right now.
- Imagine yourself floating toward them ghost-like, invisible and harmless. Position yourself just behind or beside them.
- Lean in and whisper your request clearly and directly three times (e.g., 'Call me, call me, call me' or your chosen command).
- Visualize them pausing, then responding exactly as you want — picking up the phone, typing a message, nodding in agreement.
- Kiss their forehead gently near the third eye and walk away in your visualization.
- Open your eyes. Let go of monitoring or forcing the outcome — release the expectation and return to your day.
What people use it for
- reconnecting with an ex or specific person (SP)
- getting a text or call back
- receiving a job offer or promotion
- obtaining an apology
- influencing a hiring decision
- manifesting a desired living situation through a landlord or agent
Where it comes from
Rooted in Neville Goddard's New Thought writings (1939–1961), particularly his "Inner Conversation" concept. First adapted as a named YouTube technique by Agnes Vivarelli in August 2016 (~55K subscribers, 13.5M channel views). Went mainstream viral in April 2022 when Sarah Perl (@hothighpriestess on TikTok) posted a breakdown that reached 2.9 million plays within three months, spawning the #whispermethod hashtag.
